Carved In Sand es uno de los mejores trabajos de MISSION, con una más que notable selección de canciones y un equilibrio y homogeneidad que le hacen superar su anterior trabajo, Children (1988). Impecable producción de Tim Palmer repitiendo tras Gods Own Medicine (1986), que logra que la instrumentación y los arreglos queden más diáfanos y mejor definidos, denotando madurez y plenitud creativa.

A pesar de su separación en 2008, THE MISSION vuelven con "Dum Dum Bullet", un recopilatorio de caras B raras, maquetas, canciones que no cupieron en su día en el "God Is a Bullet" y una nueva remezcla del tema "Dumb" por el guitarrista de MISSION Mark Gemini Thwaite. Tremendo disco de debut de THE MISSION original de 1987 tras haber partido peras Wayne Hussey y Craig Adams con Sisters of Mercy. De hecho este disco es, musicalmente hablando, una continuación de lo que ambos estaban realizando en la banda de Mr. Eldritch, aunque lógicamente con la impronta única de la voz de Hussey. Contiene algunos de los temas más exitosos grabados por el grupo (llegaron a los puestos más altos con canciones como WASTELAND, aparte de delicios extras añadidos como la colaboración de la cantante de All About Eve, Julianne Regan en Severina. Tras su exitosa gira de reunión en el 2011 con los miembros originals de THE MISSION Wayne Hussey, Craig Adams y Simon Hinkler, los británicos vuelven con un nuevo lanzamiento compuesto por CD y DVD con motivo de su 25 aniversario. Incluye actuaciones en Londres (Brixton Academy), Colonia (Bürgerhaus Stollwerk) y Frankfurt (Das Bett).
