Living in the Netherlands for almost 6 years, Brazilian Vini Ferreira already participated in bands of different styles, but he considered that his poetic skills abandoned him. However, at the end of 2018, suddenly some visions and melodies began to chase him incessantly. When buying a small notebook to write about these daydreams on the way between his home and work, the 34 year old musician wouldn't imagine that from those (sometimes absurd) ideas the darkwave project Flor Concreta would be born.
‘Delìrio’ is the long-awaited debut album, that follows a number of successful digital only singles! The nine-track album radiates an incredibly dark, but danceable atmosphere, with a fantasy and melancholic universe in the background. It connects classic elements of contemporary dark wave with guitar tones, strongly inspired by the sounds of the 80s. The minimalist drums are interspersed with percussions that try to simulate thematic points of the songs, such as the sound of drops in “Vermelho Flutuante”. The dense and highly rhythmic bass appears as a common thread in almost all tracks, supporting a deep and striking voice. Among the new songs, ‘Estrela’ and ‘Veluwe’ stand out, together with the obscure ‘Followers’. With a taciturn tone, the lyrics address contemporary and unexpected subjects in a particular and sometimes chaotic form of poetry. With simple arrangements and reflective lyrics, Flor Concreta invites the listener to dive into their music, which combines classical and contemporary influences
