Sometimes, silences can birth precious and unexpected new music movements. “Curtain” is one of those! Empowered by the success of its first album “No Flowers by Request” in 2000 (and a very successful re-release in 2021) and its latest opus in 2006 “Urban Disease”, Curtain has been the impersonation of a certain idea of “Made in France”-Coldwave, simul- taneously melodic and racy, energetic and intense.

Curtain confirmed its return in 2022-2023 with numerous gigs notably sharing the stage and delivering strong live performances successively with Christian Death, Selofan or Kontravoîd. Next one : 25th of May 2024 in Paris (Le Trabendo) with the iconic bands Martin Dupont & Corpus Delicti.

Their new album “Between us” includes 8 tracks and is a blend of melodic «touching pop» (A Cold Life, Between Us), darkelectro (Obsession, I can’t say No), post-punk (Against the Wall, Good Career) and indie rock (Wait & see, Speed of Light). Curtain's unique style is expressed with danceable and powerful rhythms, syncopated and melodic bass lines, very personal guitar sounds and riffs, original synth samples and expressive, intense vocals!
