HAUNT ME is a fresh US duo from Austin/Texas that only appeared in public with its music since 2021, but has quickly established itself in the long line of newer Darwave/Postpunk-acts. This their self-produced album is now being released for the first time in Europe. The sound of the duo fulfils exactly what the name promises: dark, slightly paranoid Darkwave, that draws its influences in the 80s with bands like For Against or Clan Of Xymox, as well as in current bands like Twin Tribes or Drab Majesty.

The two Americans also manage to show their own unique touch in their songs. Wave-Guitars, melancholic melodies and always slightly offbeat Vocals, which are interesting counterparts to the mostly very harmonious music. A good example of this is “Into The Black”. The title-track of the album, “This Sadness Never Ends” is a powerful Darkwave-anthem, while “In Your Abscemce” is almost indie pop with a catchy tune. If it weren't so contradictory, HAUNT ME´s music could be described as "Warm-Coldwave". But it is precisely this contradiction that makes the album what it is.
