Special limited collector’s edition of 300 copies only on ULTRA clear Vinyl!

In an homage to 12” singles from the 80’s, Canadian cold wave duo TRAITRS happily announce that “Thin Flesh” is available for the first time ever on ultra clear 12” vinyl, along with the never before released B-side “Factory Father” on Icy Cold Records and Furniture Records on February 7. The idea to give “Thin Flesh” its own special release came years ago after seeing the song’s sudden surge in popularity online, hearing the song on goth- and alternative dance floors for years, after millions of streams worldwide and the song’s recent placement in the movie “The Crow” (2024).

For the first time ever you can have your very own copy of the single that put TRAITRS on the map. “We spend a lot of our downtime on tour visiting record stores and we always see the old new wave singles from the 80’s, we thought it would be cool if “Thin Flesh” had its own vinyl,” says synth player Sean-Patrick Nolan. “The enthusiasm for ‘Thin Flesh’ years later, a song we always knew had a special charm about it, never ceases to amaze us,” he continues. “Hearing how excited people are when we perform the song live now, it’s a part of the show we look forward to night after night.”

The B-side “Factory Father” is an old song that was left off of 2018’s Butcher’s Coin. “‘Factory Father’ is a very personal track about my Father’s daily working life cycle he couldn’t escape from,” says vocalist and guitarist Shawn Tucker. “We found ‘Factory Father’ never quite fit on Butcher’s Coin but it now feels like a piece of the puzzle that completes the record. It found its way back home.”
