‘Can we make it rhyme’ is a newer track of Psy’Aviah where the vocals were provided by Mari Kattman (of Helix fame). Where the original version has a more laid back & stretched out feel, . this remix by EBM/Futurepop USA based act Assemblage 23 gives it a whole new spin and adds a lot more power and danceability. ‘OK’, meanwhile, was initially stripped down to a very basic version incorporating vocals and violin, where UK based Nethermere gives it a breakbeat-oriented, bass heavy injection.
Psy’Aviah, a project initially launched by Belgian artist Yves Schelpe, currently signed on Alfa Matrix, and often incorporating an ever-rotating flux of guest musicians and vocalists, is cele- brating it’s 20th birthday. Some of the first releases as well as live sets happened under Je m’en fish, which makes the label a logical partner to launch this special 7’’ release of reworked and remixed versions of established tracks.
