NECRØ, emerging from Lisbon, Portugal, is quickly positioning itself as a powerhouse within the European dark electronic scene, weaving together industrial, darkwave, and cinematic synth elements! The duo, composed of João Vairinhos and Sara Inglês, has captivated listeners and critics alike with their immersive, dark, and brooding soundscapes, which feature haunting synth lines, evocative beats, and melancholic vocals. Their 2023 debut EP “Death Beats”, delivered an atmospheric yet visceral sound that echoes influences of Boy Harsher’s noir synthwave and Perturbator’s dystopian intensity but remains uniquely their own.

NECRØ's international live debut in Germany, hosted by Cold Transmission, marked a turning point in expanding their audience and securing NECRØ’s place on the European stage. The upcoming album promises to further explore their thematic and musical range. According to Cold Transmission, NECRØ’s sound merges “gruesome electronic tones with exploratory, introspective lyrics”.

With their visceral live performances, NECRØ has gained a following in Portugal’s underground music scene. Their performances at Amplifest in Porto and Monitor in Leiria were noted for their intensity, where they combined powerful visuals with live renditions of their tracks.
